At Under 6 level it is all about enjoyment and encouragement. We provide structured coaching to help develop basic ball skills, spatial awareness and an understanding of the principles of rugby.  At this level its non contact and the children learn touch and tag rugby where skills such  as catching and passing the ball and dodging and weaving through the opposition are developed – basic skills that will stand players in good stead as they move through the age groups before beginning contact at Under 9s.

We have developed a friendly and supportive environment where the children are encouraged to participate and develop. Coaching comes from parents, most of whom have played rugby previously and we are always on the look out for more volunteers!  (RFU coaching courses can be provided).  Suggestions, comments and feedback are always welcome so please feel free to get in touch with any thoughts that you might have.
