Firstly I would like to thank everyone for the much appreciated support over the first half of the season, we will definately need your support as we go into the turn around.
Well before Christmas saw us have our first home match against one of the top four, we hosted Clifton, and apart from a first minute slip up it was a controlled mature performance from the squad and a great five points to pick up. We were eager to continue our momentum with an away fixture at Barnes and wrap up the first half of the season, unfortunately we arrived at the ground to find that the game had to be postponed due to a frozen pitch. The team were immensely disappointed not to be able to play. This took us into the Christmas break, we continued our training over the Christmas period in anticipation of the Richmond encounter that awaited us in the New Year.
The Richmond fixture was as it promised to be - a tough fixture, with Richmond doing everything possible to kill our ball,we had to grind out the win in the end. We were disappointed with our performance against Richmond, we felt rusty and lacked a clincal edge, but to come through a tough game having not played our best with a bonus point is very pleasing. Despite Mother Nature's best efforts to halt all outdoor activity in the UK this week, we managed to get a good training session under our belts on Tuesday.
So we wait in anticipation to see whether we will be travelling up to Lydney or not this Saturday.
Again thanks for your continued support
Kingy
