First game of the new season

On behalf of Karen, Emily, Steve's parents and myself can I thank Ealing RFC for the space on their web site dedicated to Steve and the kind comments.

Ealing was a big part of Steve life since his early 20s. I know he took huge pride in and enjoyment from the success the club achieved both on and off the pitch. I remember coming to see Ealing winning an Middlesex Cup in the early 90s (against Reading?). Lawrence Dallaglio presented the winner's trophy to Ealing and hardly anyone in the crowd had heard of him...shows you how long ago that was!

There are some wonderful comments here that all our family have greatly enjoyed reading. Fraser has continued the tradition of great rugby poets and sympathies to Ben... as his brother I have taken a few myself when growing up. No doubt... Steve was acting strictly in his usual peacekeeping capacity!

As Nigel Starmer-Smith said after his son died at 19 from cancer, rugby truly is a "unique sporting fraternity ".

Womens Pre Season Training

Pre Season Training starts July 26th at 7:30pm - 9pm at Ealing Trailfinders and will continue every Monday and Wednesday at the same time, same place. All Welcome to come along and join in! Even if you have never picked up a rugby ball before, now is the perfect time to start.

Steve Keen RIP
It is with great sadness that I have to inform you of the passing of Steve Keen, ex 1st XV
prop, husband of Karen and father to Emily, and also a great mate to many at Ealing RFC.
He will be greatly missed by all.  
 
Steve fought a valiant short battle against cancer and was positive to the end. 
 
The funeral will be at Mortlake Crematorium on Thursday 29th July at 12:30 (map here).

Puma do deal for Club Shirts

Ealing Trailfinders has agreed a deal with Puma for the International Sportswear brand to become kit suppliers of the club for the next two seasons.

The deal, which encompasses the whole club, will see all new shirts and teamwear bearing the famous "cat" motif of Puma.

Ironman UK run for Charity

Ealing Rugby Club are looking for players to strengthen the Cougars Squad.   

The Cougars sits at the top of the Amateur section and is also used as a development team for our Senior Pro squad  and also for our Colts in their transition into Senior rugby.  The Cougars have two very dedicated coaches who will look to develop core skills and produce a competitive team.

When - Monday 7th June (and EVERY Monday thereafter until pre-season training kicks in).
